A Dunn Bros.
Fundraising Event (To build a gazebo and re-build the shed)
Long-forgotten boxes in the basement and attic of the Smith Douglas More House give us a glimpse of the life and times of the Eden Prairie, Minnesota families who lived here between 1877 and the 1990's. Local artist Nancy Fisher created the designs for ten cards using scans of letters, pictures, and ephemera found in those boxes, along with items from the Eden Prairie Historical Society's collection.
The public is invited to the History Card Project's opening event at 7 pm on Monday, September 26th. Meet the artist and members of the EP Historical Society, learn more about the history of the house, taste wines, and have the opportunity to purchase the cards.
Recently, the old shed on our property had to be taken down because it was no longer a sound structure. Profits from the sales of these cards will be donated to the Eden Prairie Historical Society and to the City of Eden Prairie to help fund a new shed and gazebo on the Smith Douglas More house property. The cards will be for sale at the Smith Douglas More House Dunn Bros Coffee shop and via mail order through www.EPHistoryCards.etsy.com.
The event will be held at the Smith Douglas More House Dunn Bros Coffee shop located at 8107 Eden Prairie Road, Eden Prairie, Minnesota. For more information about the event or the History Card Project, visit http://edenprairiewest.dunnbros.com or contact Ann Schuster at email@example.com.
