The Peony’s are in bloom at the
Cummins - Phipps - Grill House
The peony garden was spectacular this year and (as you can see) used by a number of local artist’s.
It may be winter but there is a lot going on at the Cummins - Phipps - Grill House.
The Task Force and Society have done a bit of decorating and some of our local non-profits are also meeting there.
As you can see I was a day late for this photo but you should stop by next spring and see the beautiful peony garden at the Cummins - Phipps - Grill House. The peony’s were first planted by Harriet Phipps in the early 1900’s. She bought the peony’s from a Chinese flower vendor in Minneapolis. Although Mr. & Mrs Phipps did not attend church she would donate the flowers to local church’s when they were in bloom. The garden has significant historic value and there is a possibility that we may be able to share them as they are divided in the upcoming years. Stay tuned.
